After finally winning a playoff game in the 2020-21 postseason, the New York Knicks added Evan Fournier to their ranks for the 2021-22 season in order to help bolster their return to NBA relevance. After a dud of a performance where he finished with seven points in the Knicks’ Wednesday night loss to the Indiana Pacers, Fournier told reporters that he has been playing with food poisoning after a recent piece of steak disagreed with him.

Interestingly, stomach trouble has been a recurring issue for members of the Knicks as of late

RJ Barrett revealed following Tuesday night’s game that he had been suffering from a stomach bug for two weeks, and rookie Jericho Sims has also dealt with illness.

After a hot start to the season, the Knicks have lost four out of their last five games to drop to 12-13 and fourth in the Atlantic Division.
