Though the Boston Celtics’ 2020-21 season ended in disappointment, losing in the first round to the Brooklyn Nets in five games, the growth from Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown was evident.
The two All-Stars, Brown’s first appearance and Tatum’s second, secured career-high seasons across the board for the Celtics this season.
Before being ruled out for the season with a fracture in his wrist before the postseason, Brown averaged 24.7 points, 6.0 rebounds, 3.4 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.6 blocks per game – all career highs outside of rebounds – as well as shooting a career-high 48.4% from the field and 39.7% from downtown.
