As he has demonstrated in previous seasons, he simply won’t make a deal to make a deal even with the $28.5 million traded player exception he is playing with. “People who want to make deals get a little more serious about it. So, we’ll see. The phones have been ringing for the last few weeks, but I think it’ll pick up this week.”
So, the real question is how serious is Ainge about making a move to make the 2020-21 version of the Boston Celtics a more competitive team? It’s obvious a change is needed, but that change has to compliment the future as well as the rest of this season.
